Who will you be working with?
You will collaborate closely with a diverse, dynamic team across various regions, including engineers, project managers, and application specialists. As a key member of the Americas platform team, you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Global Platform Solutions Architecture. Your day-to-day interactions will involve cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders from Cybersecurity, Operational Excellence, and other technical departments. Additionally, you will work with external vendors and service providers to drive project success and innovation.

In this role, you will be a pivotal driver in optimizing and securing the platform infrastructure across the Americas. By leading a high-performing team, you will ensure that systems are not only reliable but also scalable and resilient to meet evolving business needs. Your technical expertise and leadership will directly contribute to the successful execution of complex projects, such as Data Center migrations and the implementation of cutting-edge automation tools. You will help shape the future of infrastructure management, ensuring high availability, robust security, and continuous innovation across the organization.
 

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related “STEM” field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), or equivalent experience.
• Experience in an international enterprise.

• Proven experience in a leadership position, demonstrating strong decision-making and team management skills.
• English fluency is mandatory.

• Ability to lead technical projects and meetings with international stakeholders.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies (Windows Servers, AD, Hyper-V).
• Expertise in other on-prem Infrastructure (e.g., VMware, Veeam, SolarWinds, Linux).
• Knowledge of Configuration Management software (e.g., SCCM, Tanium).
• Well-versed in ITIL, with experience in ticketing and change request processes.
• Strong understanding of network concepts: routing, name services, security groups, protocols.
• Analytical approach to solving problems in a complex, large-scale, multi-data center environment.
• Ability to communicate with IT and non-IT colleagues internationally.
• Self-starter – requires minimal direction to accomplish goals.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies is a plus.

What will your typical day look like?
• Manage the on-prem platform team for the Americas (5-7 people), reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Platform Solutions Architecture.
• Responsible for servers (>1000), both physical and virtual, including storage, data centers, hypervisors, OS, backups, monitoring, and remote systems.
• Serve as the regional point of contact for application teams.
• Own service offering(s) or assist platform Service Owners as Subject Matter Experts in Infrastructure technologies.
• Support the setup and maintenance of Platform Landing Zones, ensuring ServiceNow definitions are complete and documenting the environment with backup and monitoring.
• Propose and design technical architecture for reliable and secure applications.
• Monitor and optimize server infrastructure performance, ensuring security in a high-availability environment. Collaborate with the Cyber team and Operational Excellence teams to track and resolve all security vulnerability findings within appropriate timeframes.
• Manage high-level support tickets, ensuring SLAs are met.
• Contribute to the documentation of standard procedures.
• Manage technical projects or programs, particularly working closely with the project manager for the Data Center merging project in the Americas.
• Design and develop automation tasks (scripts, processes, GPO, dedicated tools).
• Participate in the research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry trends, and market developments to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
