Project Artist & Fabricator

The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre is seeking to appoint a Project Artist and Fabricator to design, resource and install a playful art installation in the courtyard of the Museum to celebrate the Museum’s 20th anniversary. The artwork will be displayed outdoors for a minimum of 12 months.

This is a freelance contract. The Artist will be paid up to £8,500 to cover all costs relating to the design, creation and installation of the artwork.

We expect the project budget to break down as approximately:
£4,000 Artist fee, for time to design and create artwork, at £500 per day
£4,000 materials and installation fee
£500 extra costs such as travel
The full £8,500 will be paid to the Artist in instalments (details to be decided at an initial kick-off meeting after hire), and it will be their responsibility to allocate and spend this.
