We strive to be the undisputed propane leader in North America, and our 400+ team members are driving us consistently closer to that goal.Job Summary: Propane Service Technician IPossess multiple certifications within the Propane and Heating and Cooling industry as well as senior level experience, with the proven ability to lead an installation or service call. Ability to train junior apprenticing technicians while following the rules and regulations set out by local and provincial regulators.Responsibilities:

  • Installation and Maintenance of all types of Propane Appliances and Storage Equipment.
  • Install and maintain a wide variety of propane appliances and storage equipment.
  • Provide expert service and maintenance to various brands of heating equipment in the field, ensuring customer systems run efficiently and safely.
  • Participate in on-call shifts during regular and off-business hours to ensure timely customer service and issue resolution.
  • Plan and execute service calls efficiently, ensuring all work is completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
  • Promote company offerings to customers, identifying sales opportunities during service calls to help meet branch revenue targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repairs, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Complete all required paperwork, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, in alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow company policies and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
  • Conduct site-specific hazard assessments as required by company safety policies and report any unsafe acts or conditions when identified.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle inspections to ensure company vehicles are in proper working order, clean, and presentable to uphold the company image.
  • Uphold the highest standards of service and safety while representing Avenir Energy in the field.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Excellent communication and personal skills
  • Dedication to all Health Safety Industry protocols
  • Extensive knowledge of Industry Codes & Regulations and ability to work with all Industry Regulators
  • Clean driving record
  • Gas Technician certificate including LP endoresment
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a previous Service Technician role
  • DZ license is an asset
