We are currently recruiting for a Proposals Manager who is ready to take on challenging projects and deliver outstanding results for our clients. You will work on proposals and studies to gather and input relevant data to build capital estimates, while in parallel looking at ways to reduce capital costs and create value on our client’s projects. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic go-getters. The Proposals Manager is a full-time position based in Vancouver, BC, Canada.Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the proposal production process by liaising with contributors from all levels of the organization.
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates efficiently and accurately:
- By preparing and executing appropriate proposal execution plans.
- By preparing requests for quotation for equipment and materials and evaluating information received.
- By managing and coordinating proposal preparation teams.
- By sourcing fit-for-purpose, competitive cost equipment and materials globally.
- Qualification and selection of vendors and contractors carried in estimates and specified in proposal documents.
- By preparing and optimizing project execution plans.
- By analyzing and estimating appropriate project risks.
- By preparing preliminary cashflow analyses.
- To manage multiple proposals with fixed deadlines while achieving desired accuracy of estimates with limited available resources.
- To maintain flexible working hours with periods of over-time in order to meet fixed deadlines.
- Work independently as well as part of an integrated Business Development team through work share methodologies and remote networking tools.
- Participate in Strategy-to-Win Sessions.
- Maintain an understanding of the markets and competitors.
QualificationsWhat you will bring:Technical and Industry Experience:
- Experience managing major proposals, preferably in the resources, energy, chemical, or sulphuric acid technology sectors.
- Understanding and developing project schedules.
- Understanding the various estimating methods pertaining to the required quality.
- Commercial awareness and benchmarking and data analytic skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with an understanding of effective presentation of material both written and visual.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:Required:
- Diploma or degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred).
