Purchasing Manager

This family-owned and operated company has been the leading supplier of lighting sensors for the commercial, residential, transportation, and industrial markets nationwide.

This is a direct-hire position that offers competitive benefits, work-life-balance, and plenty of opportunities for growth. Management experience is not required for this position.

Purchasing Manager Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely procurement of materials and services essential to our manufacturing processes.
• Generate purchase orders and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and resolving issues promptly.
• Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.

You will be successful in this role if you have a strong supply chain or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Purchasing Manager Requirements:

• 3+ years of supply chain, buying, purchasing or related experience
• Supply Chain or purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience negotiating contracts and prices with suppliers.
• Strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.

Compensation:

• $70,000 – 85,000 annually.
