The role provides coaching to advisors on their book of business including fostering high performance, facilitating partnerships, communicating ideas and generally promoting the consistent execution of a great client experience that leads to positive business results.AccountabilitiesRegional Director Accountabilities:
- Tailored coaching and performance management of advisors to build an engaged and productive team delivering the desired client experience
- Building an advisor talent pipeline in the market geography and leading the selection of client-facing advisors according to key attributes
- Implementation and monitoring of ATB Wealth’s service commitments to clients including communicating best practices
- Acting as an escalation point for advisors on urgent and important day-to-day issues that require management action
- Representing ATB Wealth the market to use influence for a positive impact
- Facilitating collaboration in the market between different client-facing roles in ATB Wealth and ATB Financial as a whole
- Business planning work with advisors and contributing to the Regional business plan
- Connecting advisors to the right specialist resources in ATB Wealth to close knowledge gaps, promote specialization and encourage development
- Managing advisor teaming scenarios
- Guiding segmentation activity in the market to ensure the right client connects with the right advisor
- Collaborate with other ATB team members with a particular focus on the Area of Expertise leaders representing the same geographical area
Skills, experience & requirementsCompetencies and Skill Sets
- In-depth understanding of wealth management in Alberta and beyond in regards to client experience, sales, compliance and product
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence advisors and an ability to hold a team accountable in the right way to measurable goals and a high level purpose
Designations and Training
- Minimum ten years of experience in wealth management, banking or finance
- Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- CFP designation considered an asset
- Completion of the Branch Managers Course (BMC) considered an asset
