JOB SUMMARY

To assist our guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all Front Office related functions. To maintain Marriott’s high standard of hospitality at all times. To have a thorough knowledge of all Front Office operations

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working within a similar environment preferred.
  • Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Innovative

  • Able to work alone and within a team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Handle guest check-ins efficiently and in a professional manner, having a thorough knowledge of the Front Office Standard Operational Procedures, Marriott Brand Standard processes and all registration requirements.
  • Escort arriving guests to their room and be able to explain and promote the hotel services.
  • Handle guest checkouts efficiently and in a professional manner, having a thorough knowledge of all checkout procedures (including express checkout).
  • Be able to perform the duties of a rooms controller and allocate rooms accordingly to requests.
  • To practice gracious hospitality and promote goodwill by being friendly, engaging, courteous and helpful to guests, managers, and fellow associates at all times.
  • Responsible for the safe keeping of all keys.
  • Work flexible hours on a shift basis, including night shift, in accordance with the departmental rota.
  • Due to the nature of our business, understand that work schedules and demands of the position may vary from time to time.
  • Complete all duties listed on night reception checklist.
  • Have knowledge of hotel rates, packages, discounts, and vouchers.
  • Adhere to the hotel credit policies and cash handling procedures.
  • Have knowledge of room types and locations within the hotel.
  • Complete all the duties on the reception/cashier/rooms control and At Your Service checklists.
  • Handles guest messages in accordance with LSOPs.
  • Handle all wake up calls in accordance with LSOPs.
  • Always use correct telephone etiquette ensuring that all LSOPs are adhered to.
  • Conduct daily courtesy calls to guests and assist with any guest requests.
  • Be able to perform all Business Centre duties and cover the business center in accordance with the departmental rota.
  • Assist in the training of new employees when required.
  • Protect guest and associate security by never revealing any personal information, room numbers, addresses, telephone numbers etc. unless authorized by a manager.
