Job description

ENTREC Alberta, a member of LaPrairie Group of Companies, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its team at its corporate office in Calgary, Alberta. Entrec Alberta provides heavy-haul trucking, over-sized cargo hauling, jack & slide, oilfield and picker truck services throughout Western Canada.Responsibilities:

• Prepare month end financial statements.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.
• Maintain year-end working papers and spreadsheets.
• Complete monthly reconciliation for all bank accounts and JE’s.
• Maintain up-to-date, complete electronic filing systems.
• Review, prepare and ensure payment of GST, PST and other applicable taxes.
• Other related accounting duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 to 5 + years of related experience.
• Accounting designation (CPA) or post-secondary degree with accounting major.
• Experience within the trucking, heavy hauling or oilfield industries a definite asset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to build and maintain great relationships with managers, co-workers and owners.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
