Job Description

Publicis Sapient is looking for a Senior Associate Data Engineer GCP, to be part of our team of top-notch technologists. You will lead and deliver technical solutions for large-scale digital transformation projects. Working with the latest data technologies in the industry, you will be instrumental in helping our clients evolve for a more digital future.

Your Impact:

• Act as a trusted GCP expert to clients as part of large digital transformation journeys
• Advance the application of large-scale data platforms as a core building block to enable true business transformation
• Lead Data Migration projects to Google cloud
• Build complex data pipelines on Google infrastructure using cloud native technologies
• Work closely with our clients in understanding their needs and translating them to technology solutions
• Provide expertise as a technical resource to solve complex business issues that translate into data integration and database systems designs
• Shape opportunities and create execution approaches throughout the lifecycle of client engagements
• Ensuring all deliverables are of high quality by setting development standards, adhering to the standards, and participating in code reviews
• Mentor, support, and manage team members

Qualifications

• Core programing skills: Hands on with Python, Spark/Pyspark, or SCALA
• Advanced SQL: Knowledge of SQL for querying and manipulating data, especially when working with structured data.
• GCP Fundamentals: Deep understanding of GCP concepts like regions, zones, projects, and resource hierarchies.
• Compute Services: Expertise in Compute Engine for virtual machines, App Engine for serverless applications, and Kubernetes Engine for container orchestration.
• Storage and Databases: Proficiency in Cloud Storage for object storage, Cloud SQL for relational databases, and Cloud Firestore for NoSQL databases.
• Networking: Knowledge of Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) networks, firewalls, load balancing, and DNS.
• Data Processing: Experience with Dataflow for data pipelines, Dataproc for big data processing, and BigQuery for data warehousing.
• Machine Learning: Familiarity with AI Platform and AutoML for building and deploying machine learning models.
• ETL: Expertise in data ingestion, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
• DevOps Practices: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools like Terraform, and monitoring tools like Cloud Monitoring and Logging.
• Security Best Practices: Awareness of security principles like IAM, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Data Visualization: Skills in data visualization tools like Looker or Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards.
• Streaming Data: Experience with streaming data tools like Kafka, Flink or RabbitMQ
• Certification in GCP

Additional Information

Pay Range: $118,000 – $160,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
