This role is totally responsible for capital projects delivery throughout the region supported by Mace’s MEP lead. You will provide MEP design and engineering assurance for the client’s capital projects in the region. Engineering standards directly supports the bank’s engineering team and provides the engineering standards interface between Mace engineering lead and SME and other strategic delivery partners.Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey, they are:

We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking mechanical electrical and public health (MEPH) design manager to join our established and growing team in London.You’ll be responsible for:
- Fostering a culture of engineering excellence throughout the region.
- Fully supporting the client’s regional head of engineering and provide the first level of defence (1LoD) assurance within the region.
- Management of 1LoD activities in the region.
- Supporting capital projects and main delivery partner leads in the region during strategy and project delivery gateway process stages.
- Providing engineering support to the corporate services, main delivery partner and workplace and retail standards Leads in the region.
- Building a strong and effective working relationship with strategic partners in international project management office, bank’s data centre operations/management, protective security and foster the one team approach.
You’ll need to have:
- A degree in engineering, building surveying or architecture, or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent.
- Extensive professional design management experience with a focus on engineering building services and retrofit.
- Ideally commercial/private sector experience, working with clients in the banking/finance sector would be highly valued.
You’ll also have:
- Membership of, CIBSE, CIOB, ARB, RIBA, MICE RICS, CIAT or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Depth of knowledge of MEPH systems within Listed buildings and working on MEPH retrofit projects.
- Depth of experience of managing relationships with many key senior stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes through all stages.
- Extensive knowledge of statutory regulations, in particular building regulations, fire regulations, planning and listed building consent.
- Extensive experience working with statutory utility bodies.
- Leadership and management and experience of large, diverse teams.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
- You are confident working with digital design and management programmes.
