DESCRIPTIONProject Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.The Project Kuiper team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager with end-to-end system integration experience of satellite, cellular, ground systems, and customer terminals for enterprise managed network services. The role will interface with cross-functional engineering, program / product management, business development and enterprise customers to conduct early on-site testing, technical onboarding, and acceptance testing for Kuiper enterprise preview customers. About the team
You will be joining a team that is focused on driving the product requirements and enterprise service delivery mechanisms for all of the customer facing hardware, software and systems for Project Kuiper.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS– Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
– Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
– Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
– Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience working directly with engineering teams
– Hands-on work managing complex wireless technology deploymentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– Experience working directly with enterprise customers leading complex end-to-end system integration and on-site wireless service delivery projects
– Software development experience
– Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, earning trust with stakeholders, and coordinating wireless service launches
– Certifications and/or relevant hands-on work experience deploying cloud-native applications preferably on AWS
– Strong RF experience with hands-on experience managing site surveys, assessing link budget/SINR, signal interference, indoor vs outdoor tradeoffs
– Detailed understanding of managed network services for enterprise including the convergence of satellite and terrestrial networks
– Deep knowledge of wireless technologies – Satellite Payloads, Ground Systems and Operations, 3GPP standardsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
