Our client has been providing quality products through customizable manufacturing and a commitment to service. We are currently hiring a Spot Welder for their day shift.

Job Description:

As a Spot Welder you will be reading drawings and blueprints to determine customer requirements. You will be spot welding and testing first off samples and recording results.

Wage: $23.80 per hour

Shift: Day Shift Monday to Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm

What You Will be Doing:

• Read drawings to determine requirements
• Set controller to the required heat, matching type of steel and thickness
• Spot weld & test first off samples and record results
• Check parts to drawings for quality and quantity
• Fit correct parts together as per drawings
• Use appropriate jigs when required
• Verify welded assemblies to drawings and place on carts for paint
• Maintain integrity of weld continuously through the process
• Metal finish when needed
• Change tips and proper set up
• Perform other duties as required

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to read blueprints and data sheets
• Ability to work with power hand tools effectively (ie. cordless drill)
• Must know how to use a tape measure
• Basic math skills
• Good organizational skills
• Physically fit for heavy lifting of > 35 lbs
