- Knowledgeable in data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, and reporting?
- knowledgeable in strategies for processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources?
As the Sr Developer, Software, you will be responsible for collecting, storing, processing, and converting raw data at scale into usable object information for analysts and data scientists, as well as optimizing data flow for cross functional teams’ requirement. The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder who is familiar with different data sources to build the data pipeline. Candidate enjoys optimizing and analyzing data systems and building them from the ground up.A Day in the Life
- Design, develop, and implement quality data solutions (Data Pipeline, Data model, BI Reports and Dashboards) that transform data for meaningful analysis and analytics while ensuring operability.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data quality. Implements data validation and cleansing processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency as required.
- May require leading/mentoring a team of offshore resources at times
- Create and maintain high quality technical documentation of data definitions, transformation, and processes to ensure data governance and security.
- Embrace continuous learning of engineering practices to ensure industry best practices and technology adoption, including Python, Cloud, Snowflake, DevOps and Agile thinking.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data integration processes
- Collaborate with various teams across IT for alignment on processes, strategies, architecture design, roadmaps, priority, and resources
- Build and maintain relationships with business partners and help support them with their data needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, MIS or Mathematics preferred
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering working with large data sets
- At least 5 years of experience with Python, Scala, Java and data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy)
- Experience working in virtualized cloud environment including cloud-based IaaS/SaaS/PaaS solutions. (AWS Preferred).
- Experience with Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon EMR, or Azure HDinsights
- Experience with web service technologies (REST, SOAP, etc.) for application integration
