We are the commercial decision science and AI team bringing. We leverage are the technology and delivery team within an end-to-end commercial customer experience and data group.
Job Description
Join GSK’s Data Science team on a groundbreaking project to harness AI for the pharmaceutical industry. This capstone project focuses on developing AI-driven tools to extract and analyze data, providing valuable insights for Healthcare Providers (HCPs) and GSK representatives.Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize GenAI tools for data extraction, processing, and analysis.
- Focus on key areas such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, document summarization, and data preprocessing.
- Create scalable, reliable, and interpretable automated pipelines.
- Participate in weekly meetings and collaborate with the project team and mentors.

The selected Intern will have the opportunity to report to one of the following GSK worksites: San Francisco, CA, Philadelphia, PA, or Durham NC.
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Science or Engineering, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
- Interest in AI and data science within the pharmaceutical sector.
- Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills.
- Data and text mining/NLP.
- Strong programing and coding skills in Python.
- Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship (May/June – August 2025).
- Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applied research experience in machine learning or deep learning or information retrieval or data analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.

Candidates who are hired for an on-site role or hybrid role, and reside outside of 50-miles from their assigned work location, are eligible for relocation stipend. This job posting is for a temporary role as an employee of Atrium on assignment at GSK. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Atrium; compensation, medical benefits, fringe benefits and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Atrium upon offer. The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on several factors, including skills, competencies, experience, educational degree obtained, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law.
In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirement.
