Seabee Gold Operation welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences to apply.SSR Mining – Seabee Gold Operation (SGO) is hiring for a Superintendent, Resource Development.About Your New Role:Reporting to the Manager, Resource Development, the Superintendent, Resource Development, will supervise, mentor, and train geologists and geotechnicians. You will ensure individual/team development plans are established and maintained for all direct reports.Your Key Responsibilities:Enforce health and safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and mining laws through visible leadership.Build and maintain collaborative internal relationships with corporate and key departments (Engineering, Operations, Process, Laboratory, Environment, Exploration, Safety, and Finance).Ability to stand in for the Manager, Resource Development when they are off-site.Support and drive integration of orebody knowledge into all parts of the business.Build on technical knowledge for geological mapping, material management, and reporting. Ensure best practices are utilized, understood, and followed by the team.SOPs of all Resource Development activities are developed and maintained.Managing daily ore control, including face/back mapping, sampling, and muck management/reporting.Manage routing of ore in the mine based on assays and mapping.Support site reconciliation through identifying and explaining variances and providing solutions to mitigate/reduce variance where possible.Planning and managing underground/surface resource/reserve delineation drill campaigns to continuously extend mine life.Supervise compilation and validation of underground channel samples and drilling data, including assay results, downhole survey, geology logging and other data collected.Monitor QA/QC practices and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and identify opportunities for improvements.Engage with the resource geologists to ensure accurate fit for purpose geological models and mineral estimations are provided, ensuring that all available data are leveraged to maximize value.Provide input into the annual budget/business plan.Monitor departmental KPIs to ensure agreed work programs, cost, and ounce delivery targets are met.Identify areas for improvement and present solutions through change management.Your Knowledge and Skills:Experience managing ore control & drilling, technical consultants and contractors.Ability to work within a team environment and possess excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills required.Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy, stay organized and effectively manage priorities in a dynamic work environment.Your Education and Experience:The successful candidate will have:Bachelor of Science in Geology or related field required.10+ years’ experience working as an underground Resource Development/Production Geologist.Familiarity with Leapfrog and MX Deposit software preferred.Hold a provincial supervisor certificate plus additional site-specific certification.Qualified as a Competent Person (CP) under SK-1300 and/or NI 43-101 is preferred.About Our Working Conditions:This position has a schedule of 4 days on, 3 days off at our remote camp which you will be required to fly in fly out with pick up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert and La Ronge.Our Stipulations:This job posting complies with all Company standards, policies and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employees, including the Code of Conduct.
