DESCRIPTIONTo ensure precise alignment between indirect tax compliance requirements, system configurations, and operational processes, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of tax compliance and supporting corporate strategic initiatives.Key job responsibilities
– defining indirect tax compliance system requirements globally and ensuring that system implementations will meet those requirements
– verifying indirect tax compliance processes
– driving the implementation of new systems and tools for indirect tax compliance
– working with stakeholders throughout Amazon including Accounting, FinTech, AP, AR to ensure indirect tax compliance system requirements can be met
– Create and maintain comprehensive audit trails documenting requirements implementationBASIC QUALIFICATIONS– 7+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
– Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
– Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax departmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS– 3+ years of maintaining and operating transaction tax calculation software (e.g. Vertex) experience
