About the Role
The Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing a broad range of tax compliance tasks. This role will ensure that the business continues to remain in good standing across various states in the US and also, in compliance with evolving tax regulations while identifying opportunities for process efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the various processes and controls required to ensure Rippling is meeting its compliance and operational obligations as it continues to grow internationally.
This is a contract position, based in Dublin, Ireland.
What you will do
- The role will focus on the following key activities:
- Assisting with the filing of annual reports in various US states.
- Responsible for managing city business licence renewals in various US cities.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate filings of various tax returns including gross receipts, franchise tax etc.
- General management of legal entity compliance including ensuring no late filings, payments or notices outstanding to ensure the US entities remain in good standing.
- Managing the tax notices across various US states.
- Calculating and processing US tax payments.
- Management of tax calendar due dates.
Experience Required:
- General understanding of tax and/or accounting regulations.
- Ability to identify risks and propose practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, tax reporting tools, and automation software is a plus.
- 6+ years of relevant experience at an accounting firm and or/ tax department of a multinational public company.
