Temporary Sit-Down Forklift Operator | Customer Service

Do you have at least one year of recent experience operating a sit-down forklift and a knack for customer service? 

An HVAC parts distributor is looking for a Temporary Sit-Down Forklift Operator to join their day shift team! This company distributes a complete offering of HVAC equipment, parts, supplies, and solutions across North America with 220 locations in 22 states.   

In this position, you’ll deliver orders to customers and provide fantastic customer service, as well as operate a sit-down forklift within the warehouse. 

This is a temporary job with weekends off, a close-knit family-like team and weekly pay (every Friday!).

Sit-Down Forklift Operator Job Duties: 

• Operate Sit Down Forklift and adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized counter area. Ensure a safe working environment for both customers and colleagues.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding the right HVAC/R products and supplies for their needs. Provide expert advice, product information, and recommendations.
• Accurately process customer orders, ensuring that all requested items are available, properly priced, and invoiced correctly. Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision. Document customer transactions, including invoices, returns, and warranty claims.
• Maintain a deep understanding of our HVAC/R product inventory, including specifications, compatibility, and pricing. Stay up to date with industry trends and new product releases.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sales floor. Conduct regular inventory counts and report any discrepancies to the store manager.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM 

Pay: $18-$19/hr 

Sit-Down Forklift Operator Job Requirements: 

• At least 1-3 years of Sit-Down Forklift experience
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout shift
