Tower Hamlets Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Looked After Children (LAC) & Leaving Care Team. You will be responsible for ensuring that children in care and care leavers receive high-quality, outcome-focused support to prepare them for independence.Key Responsibilities:
? Leadership & Management: Provide strategic leadership to the team, ensuring a strong focus on purpose, outcomes, and service delivery.
? Safeguarding & Decision-Making: Oversee safeguarding practices, ensuring that children and young people are protected and receive the support they need.
? Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of social work practice, embedding best practices and compliance with statutory requirements.
? Service Improvement: Drive service improvements by identifying the needs of children and families and implementing strategies to enhance care planning and support.
? Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work closely with partners in education, health, housing, and other services to deliver a holistic approach for care-experienced young people.
? Equality & Inclusion: Ensure that services are accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, meeting the needs of Tower Hamlets’ diverse communities.What We’re Looking For:
? Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
? Strong leadership experience in a statutory childrens social care setting.
