Job Description

Trustee with financial skills and experience:
To help ensure the Board fully understands the financial implications of the Company’s accounts and of financial decisions. To work closely with the Centre Director and accountants to help ensure financial systems are effective and meet statutory requirements.

Trustee with enterprise and fundraising skills and experience:
To offer informed enterprise and fundraising advice. To support the staff team with strategic approach to income generation across all activity and insights in fundraising from trusts and foundations to statutory bodies.

Job Requirements

Person specification Trustee with financial knowledge, experience and skills:
A good understanding of current accounting methods, financial systems, forecasting, cashflow, auditing and regulations that cover these areas.
Experience or understanding of the particular financial issues that cover charities and charity legislation.
A recognised relevant financial management qualification.

Person specification Trustee with Enterprise and fundraising experience and skills:

Understanding of enterprise opportunities in relation to arts, leisure, community development, festivals or professional artist development.
Experience of working within commercial settings, particularly in relation to physical activity, learning and engagement and corporate events.
Understanding of fundraising strategy and it’s application to Greentop

For both roles:

Ability to communicate with Board staff and users.
Ability to discuss issues clearly, objectively and effectively
