Job Description Summary

Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center provides an internationally renowned standard of care. Located on a campus of some 700 acres in Chester County, Pennsylvania, New Bolton Center has one of the largest caseloads of any academic large animal hospital in the nation.

The position is located in Kennett Square, PA. No public transportation is available.

In this role, you will lead the clinical service team through the daily clinical caseload. You will be responsible for coordinating all patient care and patient procedures, including imaging/ nursing care or other activities. May rotate between departments.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the other technicians to divide the daily clinical service tasks and assign staff to responsibilities that fit their skill set
• Perform patient care/imaging/procedures
• Perform nursing skills
• Assist in other clinical service areas as assigned
• Instruct and supervise veterinary and veterinary technician students in imaging and/or nursing
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Associate of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Must be a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, LVT, RVT or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical practice.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively required.
• Must have excellent communication skills both orally and written.
• Horse handling skills are required.
• Must be able to work well with others.
• Computer skills required.
