- Providing advice and guidance related to the safe management and disposal of waste at CNL.
- Solving technical waste challenges across CNL missions.
- Maintaining relationships with customers, waste receivers, and functional support groups including RP, Environmental, and Waste Management.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
- Education
- Graduation from a recognized institute of advanced technology, or equivalent formal education, in a field relevant to the position and normally has six (6) to eight (8) years of pertinent technological experience OR Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent and normally has ten to twelve (10-12) years of pertinent and progressive experience or the equivalent in experience, additional education and/or training.
- Experience
- Operational knowledge of waste management processes and streams.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of Waste Management Program and processes.
- Knowledge of waste segregation, processing and packaging.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work as part of a team, as well as the ability to work independently to accomplish tasks with excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Arrange/perform in-field waste walk-downs, oversee and lead waste generation activities, attend planning meetings, review and provide guidance to work planning.
- Capable of performing mathematical activities to calculate package activities as required.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat’s “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
- Required both working at a desk with personal computers/workstations and maintaining an active presence in the field conducting walk-downs, inspections and providing oversight and guidance to waste packaging operations.
